Elf’s departing for Singapore, then to Chicago today so we had a simple all-male (just 3 of us) dinner last night. I’ve already heard of this restaurant, Hong Fu or something even before i was back. About how amazing their pig trotters were, the seafood, and all that. Ok i was really hungry, and still am, so i’d just jump straight to the point pics

It’s only my first day of ‘holiday’ in KL and i’ve dined two times successively at Crystal Jade. I think it’s called Crystal Jade Siew Long Bao or something. It’s this branch of restaurants and there’s only one outlet in KL. Since i’m stayin at The Coronade hotel, it’s really convenient since it’s just beside the hotel.

It’s been quite some time since i cover such an err.. extensive home-cooked meal menu. Went to Asian grocery last night and after a certain ‘feud’ last night, i decide that i’d make some nice dinner tonight. To make it up.

I was too lazy tired to cook dinner so decided to eat out with Mag. I’ve been to this small restaurant cum ‘bar’ IpohJaya (LOL they even have their own website!) at Queensberry Street. It’s this nice cosy restaurant on the first floor. Got there at 5.20 pm and there’s this notice at the door that says “Dinner at 5.30″. And the door was locked. So we thought it’s still early and decided to go for a nice walk despite the cold weather. When we got back, it was near 6pm but the door was still locked. We though of going to have something else till the chef (i didn’t realise he got off his station wagon, and i found out he had another day-job) opened the door for us. Then i realised why they didn’t open at 5.30 pm sharp.

I never been to the Breadtop in Melbourne Central. Was looking around hopefully for a shop which stocks the new ipod 5g case. But to no avail. I was feeling hungry by then, so i decided to give Breadtop a try. All those Bread Bread names… what Breadtalk, Breadstory, BreadBread… now i’m cofused which one was the original bakery that started off in Singapore and made it real big.

The name itself is suggestive: nudie crushie. And it contains 3 pressed apples, 13 crushed strawberries, and 1/4 squeezed orange. There’s this naughty looking apple top i guess covering its *erhem* that part and winking mischieviously. It’s a fresh nudie and requires instant chilling

The bird flu is hitting the birds hard, EU is worried about a bird flu pandemic, Malaysia says it’s not ready in case bird flu strikes (not stocking up the Tamiflu, considered now as the possible best defence against this birdie flu), and I’m still irritated by these crows in Melbourne (they sound damn awful).
