Not your typical monster

Normally i don’t blog about ‘newbie’ singers, especially from Taiwan. But i reckon (Yang1 Zhong1 Wei1 ) 楊 å®— ç·¯ should be an exception. Saw this over at Duller’s site . This guy was in a TV show called 超 ç´š 星 å…‰ 大 道. Stars Avenue or something like that. Apparently he lied of his age and was kicked out of the show. Ok let’s not say kicked out lar. Err…ushered out with a contract waiting for him? If i can describe him in one sentence, it will be “楊宗緯-No looks, all talent“. But that’s just me ok? His fans, please don’t bombard me with stupid questions like ‘You very handsome meh?”

I can bet that he’d have plenty of companies willing to sign him. No Jungiery please!!!! 楊 å®— ç·¯ is not Lee Hom and he is not Jay Chou either (don’t be surprised to see comments like “He’s uglier than Jay Chou”). He’s not really handsome and personally, i think he looks rather weird. If Gary Chao (Chao Ge) was denied a chance to be a star because he was too ugly, imagine the kind of answers he’d get. Nevertheless, I’d be anticipating an album by 楊 å®— ç·¯. With the cover of the album heavily photoshoped and air-brushed.

Some background check. 楊 å®— ’s date of birth is 04/04/1978. That makes him 29. OMG nearing 30 but hey, Cheryl Crow became a star close to her early 30s too. He’s 181cm tall (good height to become a star but seriously.. the face…), loves swimming, running, and keeping himself fit. And he’s blood type B. Err.. what was that Korean movie about? Ok now back to his singing talent. Well this guy got some good talent in singing. The kind of talent that the fans of modern chinese music want and love. He doesn’t have a strong voice like Lee Hom (or dreamy if you like) but well… like i said. It’s the type of voice that suits the kind of songs that sell million of copies. Husky and some say…sexy.

The next Jay Chou? Him singing 人質 and 再見我的愛人. This song sounds reallllly familiar. By Teresa Teng? But if he keeps singing romantic songs like this, no matter the looks, he will have tonnes and tonnes of fans. Female fans and emo male fans. You can see him cry here.
