Michael Buble-Call Me Irresponsible
Someone once wrote that Jamie Cullum is the new Michael Buble, and the old Buble is out of the scene. Oh I could so refute that statement. How could one be singing about pricks and be the new Michael Buble?
The suave Canadian crooner is back with his brand new album. Call Me Irresponsible. I first heard it on American Idol Season 6, where he sang “Call Me Irresponsible”. When I heard it, I was so gonna download listen to this album. So i’d just do a short review on it.

1) The Best Is Yet to Come
2) It Had Better Be Tonight
3) Me and Mrs. Jones
4) I’m Your Man
5) Comin’ Home Baby (duet with Boyz II Men)
6) Lost
7) Call Me Irresponsible
Wonderful Tonight (duet with Ivan Lins)
9) Everything
10) I’ve Got The World on a String
11) Always On My Mind
12) That’s Life
13) Dream
14) L.O.V.E. (Bonus track on Special Edition, iTunes and Internet edition)
15) Orange Coloured Sky (Bonus track on Internet edition)
The question to ask. Is this album worth the buy? Definitely. I’d rate it 8.5/10. There is no real fancy dixieland jazz or loud trombone but Michael Buble’s back doing what he does best. Romantic love songs trapped with a jazzed up soul. This album sounds a bit Pop , but the jazz elements are still there.
Another reason I got this album was because he did a cover of Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight (Clapton is G-O-D!!) which he duet with Ivan Lins. No godly guitar licks but it was done very nicely. Try imagine yourself with a nice medium-done steak. With half a dozen of buffalo wings on the house.
The song Everything really does ‘Pop-ish’. Nevertheless, i still like it. Does feel a bit country though but that’s just me. I like the song ‘That’s Life’. Real soulful and love the lyrics too. The other songs are good too, but i think i’m running out of steam to write more. Oh, and try ‘Me and Mrs Jones’ too. Reminds me of some illicit love affair going on in the 80’s.

Girlfriend just purchased this album from Borders today. It was half-priced due to a Mother’s day promotion. I would certainly recommend this album, was on loop at Borders whilst I was there.
Good to have you back again.
My fave track is “Lost”.
