Krispy Kreme Melbourne Photos

Yeap, like i said I’d be going to the Krispy Kreme Melbourne CBD opening day. It was further then i expected. Get down at Collins Street. Then just move along towards Southen Cross Station at Spencer Street and you’d see the Krispy Kreme flagship store on your left (very near Souther Cross Station). All pics are taken with my new Canon Powershot S3 IS.

DJs preparing some afternoon programmes. Taken across the street.

NBA 2K7 trailer

It’s been almost 2 years since i played a game of NBA (on Playstation 2 or PC) . Was an avid follower of NBA and i used to collect every NBA game (Live, etc) that came out (pirated ones of course).

Arsene Wenger: The French Revolution

It’s been 10 years since Arsene Wenger served as the 20th Arsenal FC manager (at first i thought he owned the club or something because of his name). The day was 28th September 1996.

When Bruce Rioch departed Arsenal before the start of the season, Wenger’s name was mentioned to suceed Bruce as the new manager. Alongside was world class footballer Johan Cryuff . One was a Dutch legend who had recently managed Barcelona to success. The other was a modestly talented French League footballer who had done well with Monaco but was currently residing in the footballing backwater of Japan. So it’s only normal that there were overwhelming response from the media when Arsene Wenger was appointed. While his appointment was confirmed 10 years ago today, his first official day as Arsenal manager was October 1 and he took charge of his first game on October 12.

Thank You For Smoking: Review

I know this movie is a tad old for a review now, since it was released in 2005 but i just watched it and i think it’s really a fantastic movie. Not sure if this one made it to the Malaysian cinemas, if not, no worries. Tonnes of DVD quality torrents out there for download.

Krispy Kreme coming to Melbourne CBD

Yeap! For those of you in Melbourne who haven’t heard the news (which i doubt), Krispy Kreme’s opening tomorrow (26th September 2006) at 607 Collins Street (I think it’s corner Collins and Williams). So it’s probably somewhere opposite the new Southern Cross Station (formerly known as Spencer Street Station). Now i don’t have to go all the way to zone 3 to get my donuts. Like what alexallied’s wife did.

Krispy Kreme was started in 1937 based in Winston-Salem, California, USA. Best known for its traditional glazed dougnuts even though it serves a variety of other dougnuts. They have a neon sign that, when lit, tells the customers that hot, fresh doughnuts are coming off the line at that moment, and the customer will get a free original glazed sample doughnut as they wait in line. Read more about Krispy Kreme here and here

I’ve tasted Krispy Kreme for like two times here in Melbourne. I like it when it’s served warm but i haven’t tried its coffee and ice-cream, and other types of doughnuts. Fren bought it all the way from Zone 3. Can’t rember the exact location. One box (a dozen) is like AU $10 i think.

PS3 price cuts, bad news for Aussie

One of the most ‘exciting’ game console to hit the market, Play Station 3 by Sony which is due 11th November 2006 is expected to have its price slashed from ¥59,800 to ¥47,000 ($534) (the basic model only). And this would only happen in Japan. No where else. Play Station 3 is expected to be released in the US on 17th November 2006. The price cut is to rival Microsoft’s Xbox-360 which is currently priced at ¥49,600. And with a PS3, you’d get features like

Victory at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal records its first EPL win at Emirates Stadium by beating Sheffield Utd 3-0 last night.

A rather frustrating afternoon after seeing a goaless first half and i thought they’re really going to draw. But then it was Henry magic again as he set up Gallas to fire home his first goal for Arsenal. An own goal by Sheffield Utd gave Arsenal the 2-0 lead before hitman Henry scored the third goal at 80 minutes. So that puts Arsenal on the 8th spot on the EPL table. God Speed Arsenal!

And my prediction that Arsenal’d win 3-0 was.. surprisingly 100% accurate. :)

Good to see that Arsenal’s clawing back the game, and breaking the winless jinx at their new Emirates Stadium. Excellent effort by the 2 Frenchmen despite a rather sluggish first half. Hope Gallas keeps up this good performance. I know Reyes did score a goal for Real Madrid through a free kick last week. All the best to him. And as for Ashley Cole…

Arsenal vs Sheffield United

Hopefully I’d be able to get the channel in Pplive later to catch the game. Kick off time: 3 pm at Emirates Stadium (23 Sep 2006)
